Forklift Truck Operator
(Novice - previously uncertified)
This course is intended for employees who have had no previous formal training as Forklift Truck Operators. They receive all the necessary aspects of fork truck operation including their duties and responsibilities as employees to take due care and attention with their employee's goods and equipment. On completion of this programme each participant is expected to achieve a high standard of knowledge and skill before being awarded a certificate of competent driving ability
.
The course syllabus meets the requirements of RTITB standard for forklift operators. All participants undergo an examination conducted by an independent examiner and on successful completion are registered as trained Fork Lift truck Operators.
Course Content:
- Legalisation.
- The operator safety code.
- Pre-use inspection.
- Basic steering exercises.
- Battery care and maintenance inspection.
- Manoeuvring the forklift in confined spaces.
- Pivoting the truck.
- Hydraulic systems.
- Forklift stability and capacity plates.
- Stacking at low level, eye level and high level.
- Safe operating practices.
- Theory test.
- Practical test.
Duration: 5 days
Recommended Class Size: 3  Forklift Truck Operator
(Developed Experienced Accident free over three years)
This course is intended for employees who have not received any formal Training and not currently Certified and have developed experience as fork lift operators. On completion of this programme each participant is expected to achieve a high standard of knowledge and skill before being awarded a certificate of competent driving ability.

Forklift Truck Operator
Refresher/Conversion - (previously certified within 5 years)
It is recommended that fork truck operators regularly updated their skills and knowledge. This course is intended for employees who have had formal training and who have been awarded a certificate of competence from a recognised awarding body. This course consists of practical and theoretical training with examination. Each participant is expected to achieve a high standard of knowledge and skill before being awarded a certificate of competent driving ability.
