Training: Chemical Safety


The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents) Regulations, 2001 lays down the legal requirements for employers regarding chemicals that are present or may be present in the workplace. Training is a legal requirement under the legislation. Advanced Compliance Services have tailored this course for employers and companies to enable them understand their obligations under the legislation.

Course Content:

  • Entry routes into body

  • Toxicology

  • Labelling of chemicals

  • Fire safety for chemicals

  • Understanding MSDS sheets (material safety data sheet)

  • Risk assessments of chemicals

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Eligibility: Persons using chemicals in the workplace, Managers, Supervisors, Contractors.

Course Duration: 4 Hours

We also run a course dealing with the environmental aspects of chemicals i.e. waste disposal, storage, and bunding of chemicals.
