Training: Manual Handling


Current Irish legislation namely the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 and the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 obliges employers to train staff in safe manual handling. The manual handling course is a prescribed course and covers the modules below. Advanced Compliance Services provides this training on or off site for employers.

Course Content:

  • Legislation

  • Anatomy

  • Muscular Skeletal System

  • Safe Manual Handling Techniques

  • Practical's

Eligibility: All staff employed in companies. Participants are required to perform a lift at the end of the course to ensure that they are lifting correctly.

Course Duration: 4 Hours

PowerPoint presentation, video, and practicals.
