Training: Accident Investigation


Advanced Compliance Services offer a unique accident investigation course for companies and employers in industry. Current Irish legislation requires employers to report all accidents in accordance with the requirements set out in Part X, Regulation 58 of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 1993.


Course Content:

  • Legislation

  • Legal requirements for the reporting of accidents to the HSA

  • Distant causes of accidents (distal causes)

  • Proximate causes of accidents (actual accident)

  • Accident investigating techniques

  • Accident documentation

  • Background to accident investigation

  • Accident prevention

Eligibility: All Managers, Supervisors, Directors, Company Secretary's, Loss adjustors, Safety Representatives.

Course Duration: 1 Day

This course is of benefit to a wide diverse section of industry as it can assist in investigating accidents and minimise any possible fraudulent claims. Our consultants delivering this course have worked with loss adjustors, and worked as accident investigators with large PLC companies which resulted in insurance premium savings and the defence of rogue claims to PIAB.

This course is delivered in clients' workplace to a maximum of 12 people.
